As a direct response to the challenge of infection control all production of Ambla contains Actifresh, an antimicrobial additive produced by British Sanitized Ltd. It is incorporated in to the formulation itself during production so retains its effectiveness even after regular cleaning.

Tests by British Sanitized, supported by independent research carried
out by Wardle Storeys, show that Ambla containing Actifresh is effective against the spread of MRSA, E coli and other bacteria on its surface. Clostridium Difficile can not multiply on Ambla surfaces under normal
aerobic conditions.
